2/13/2025 Panel member for "Beyond the Professoriate: Graduate Student Academic and Non-Academic Resources" at the University of Mississippi. I am a huge champion for the Beyond the Professoriate platform and had the amazing opportunity to trial it over the 2024 summer interim. 10/13 - 18/2024 Attended the Statistical Quantification of Individual Differences workshop held in Montreal. I was fortunate enough to receive a fellowship to attend this workshop and met so many helpful statisticians and graduate students studying research questions similar to mine. This workshop was extremely beneficial to my own statistical analyses and I made some amazing connections that I hope to carry forward in my career.
9/18/2024 Participated in the University of Mississippi Python workshop, where I formally learned some Python basics to complement what I previously taught myself.
7/20 - 23/2022 Attended the 2022 ABS Conference in Costa Rica. I assisted in the ecotourism workshop put on by the Animal Behavior Society Conservation Committee. I also presented a poster titled "Behavioral Stress Responses of Turkey Chicks (Meleagris gallopavo) to Parasitic Infection at Differing Ages". It was my first time in Costa Rica and I thoroughly enjoyed meeting like-minded individuals and experiencing the local culture.
